From school age, LHKids are offered specialised classes in Tap, Ballet and Jazz which progress through vocational examinations with the UKA board, up to Advanced levels.

Tap, Ballet and Jazz are integral to a dancers beginning. Whether you have progressed through from LHBambinos or a complete beginner, together these three dance styles will give you the basic foundation skills needed for the majority of dance genres.

Ballet and Tap classes focus on grades from the UKA syllabus. The children will develop and build their strength, technical vocabulary, the correct stance and be encouraged to participate in examinations and performances.

Jazz is a free class which focuses on the variety of styles of jazz throughout the term. We will be looking at the styles of jazz through different eras, these include: Blues, Lyrical, Commercial and Street jazz. This develops a wide knowledge of jazz and gives the students a chance to learn and enjoy all.
